Group 1 April Final Project PP2 2024
My role in developing this project was setting up the AV FlyPack, and making sure the audio and video for the presentation were recorded correctly. The presentation did have keynote slides on a laptop that was connected to the AV FlyPack with a PCDI Box. There was also an AES cable connected to a SQ6 Audio Console to receive audio signals while recording the presentation. There was a projector that was set up using a Bi-Directional Converter connected to the AV FlyPack. The AV FlyPack received signals from SDI Cables from a projector, a camera, and one monitor for the talent, and the Video Engineer. The presentation was recorded through an AJA Multimedia Recorder, showing what the audio level was being recorded at.
For the presentation, setting up, and while being recorded, I controlled the Multi-viewer. The Multi-viewer allowed me to arrange where the camera and aux signals were to be set. Doing this as well, I was able to manage the talent's monitor, letting them present their material. Recording this presentation with my group was a great experience. We all assisted one another as a team which was able to get the presentation recorded with excellent quality.

For this production, my role was the Video Director. While performing this role, I communicated to the technical director when to ready and take shots from different cameras, angles, and views. When I first saw this video, I was truly impressed by the production that was done by our team. The different types of roles that made this come together such as lighting, cam operators, audio, video, and more! Some issues I would like to fix are the audio that was recorded, as well, as the different cam shots that were taken.
I would fix these issues by filtering the audio with a dereverber and switching up scenes in Premiere when editing. If I had the chance to do this again, I would send in less audio signal to the mics when being recorded, and when taking different cam shots, listen thoroughly before switching cams. My video shows simply what the guest is speaking about and you can hear the host and guest with clear audio. The lighting has great levels, and the scenes are synced up not frustrating the eyes and ears.
